Easy scheduling, got car in, was ready fairly quickly and even got a car wash.

I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata from Family Hyundai on 3/27/26. Three months later, the engine had a catastrophic failure requiring it to be replaced. I called the Sales Specialist Jose Palomares and did not receive a return call. An email to Mr. Palomares and did not receive a response. Went to the Family Hyundai website to advise of the situation but received no response. I only received a response when I called again. I was then advised by a service manager that the engine was covered under Hyundai's warranty and that I could take the vehicle to any Hyundai dealership for it to be replaced. I had the vehicle taken to a closer Hyundai dealership and they advised that the engine would not be replaced and referred me to Hyundai Corporate for resolution. I called and spoke with a sales manager at Family Hyundai (he refused to provide his last name - said to look it up on the website) and he advised that Family Hyundai's responsibility ended as soon as the vehicle was driven off its lot. My efforts to further discuss this ended when he terminated the conversation by hanging up on me. When I purchased the vehicle from Family Hyundai, Family Hyundai did not inform me that Hyundai issued a recall for this vehicle model due to problems with the engine that caused engine failure. Had Hyundai informed me of this problem, I would not have purchased the vehicle. I have attempted to discuss this matter with Family Hyundai but was hung up on. I can find no email addresses to communicate additional details of this matter.

I was handled with care by my salesman and everyone really treats you like family. I will definitely be returning in the future.
