2024 Hyundai Kona Trim Levels

The 2024 Hyundai Kona is a popular small SUV with four versions: SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited. Each trim has its own set of features and options designed to meet the needs of various drivers. In this overview, we’ll compare these trims to help you find the one that suits you best.

SE

The base SE trim comes with a 147-horsepower 2-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 132 pounds-feet of torque. The SE includes an intelligent variable transmission, front-wheel drive (with an option for all-wheel drive), 17-inch alloy wheels, and a drive-mode select system.

It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system including HD Radio™, SiriusXM®, wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. The vehicle also features a 4.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12-volt outlet, and Bluetooth® hands-free wireless audio streaming.

Safety features like a blind-spot collision-avoidance warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, a lane following and keeping assist, and safe exit warning are also part of the package.

SEL

Moving up to the SEL trim, you get all the SE features plus some extras—the exterior features larger 18-inch alloy wheels as well as standard black roof rails. Meanwhile, the interior sees additional amenities like an eight-way power driver seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

It also includes a dual automatic temperature control system featuring auto defog and second-row air vents for enhanced comfort and convenience.

N Line

The N Line model is a unique trim based on the SEL trim, featuring all the SEL amenities plus some sporty enhancements. First, a more potent 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rests under the hood. This powertrain produces 190 horsepower and 195 pounds-feet of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

It also has exclusive N Line 19-inch alloy wheels and gloss black exterior mirrors. The seating surfaces feature an N Line Black Alcantara® sport combination. Additional amenities include heated front seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with navigation, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation-based smart cruise and curve control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless device charging.

Elevating your favorite playlists and podcasts is a Bose® eight-speaker premium audio system with an external amplifier. It is important to note that this trim swaps out wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for a wired connection.

Safety sees improvements with a highway driving assist and added functionality to the forward collision-avoidance assist system, including junction turning and direct oncoming detection.

Limited

At the top of the line is the Limited trim. It inherits all the SEL and N Line features but includes even more luxuries. It consists of the N Line’s turbocharged engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. It also includes 19-inch alloy wheels minus the N Line detailing.

Inside, the H-Tex® leatherette-trimmed seats add elegance and comfort, while ventilated front seats keep you cool during the warmer months. It also features a surround-view monitor, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink®, and a blind-spot view monitor.
